Qianbin Chen received the B.Sc. degree in radio electronics from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 1988, the M.E. degree in signal and information processing from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), Chongqing, China, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in communication and information system from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2002. From 2003.10 to 2004.4, he was a visiting scholar at University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. He is currently a professor in the School of Communication and Information Engineering at CQUPT, and director of the Chongqing Key Lab of Mobile Communication Technology.
Prof. Chen is a senior member of the IEEE, a fellow of China Institute of Communications (CIC). He has been receiving the special allowance from the Chinese State Council in 2000 and received the New Century Excellent Talents Award from the Ministry of Education of P.R. China in 2007.
He has published over 100 papers in journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and has co-authored 6 books. He has submitted 30 standard proposals and 2 draft standard proposals to IMT-Advanced TWG (Technical Working Group) and IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), respectively. He holds 15 granted national patents.
